ROSA LEGNO
ROSA LEGNO
Carved between 2013 and 2014, Rosa Legno was created from a block of maple wood (Acer) sourced from a luthier's workshop.
Before becoming a ring, the material already belonged to the world of craftsmanship. Wood associated with the making of instruments became the foundation of a sculptural piece, treated not as a decorative detail, but as the primary material itself.
At COACCI, wood is approached with the same respect traditionally reserved for precious metals. Its grain, density and natural character are not concealed, but revealed.
The rose was carved directly from a single block of maple. Layered petals, organic curves and preserved grain lines allow the material to remain present throughout the sculpture.
The result is a stately contemporary Baroque interpretation, where sculpture, jewelry and craftsmanship coexist within a single piece.
